Where could I buy pure alcohol legally? I would be happy with 70%, 45% dillution...?
I was surprise to hear that the local pharmacy can not sell pure alcohol, although possible in other European countries. I need to make herbal tinctures, but I am not professional herbalist yet... any suggestion are welcome..
For an effective tincture you only need 70%, which is vodka. Personally I don't like the taste so I now use Everclear, which is 90% and almost tasteless, then I dilute it to 70% with water. Works great.
Some old timers used homemade wine, which is only about 15%. It works but doesn't have as long a shelf life.
