Are Diastix (Bayer) accurate urine test strips to determine if you have diabetes or not?
I've been thinking about this as I had been paranoid on the condition and decided to buy the Diastix Bayer. I had used it for about 10 times at various intervals before meals, after meals, in the morning after waking and before sleeping at night. The strip showed no color change at all. Is it safe to assume that after these efforts should be safe? Thank you for your kind assistance.
The Diastix not demonstrate that they have diabetes until they are at a critical stage. For type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes and the early stages of diabetes will have a lot of dumping sugar in the urine, by the time you detect Diastix will have to pass through the length of time which could have done much to reverse the process. Because type 1 diabetes develops over a shorter period of time, and is a much more serious disease in the initial stages, the Diastix collect the problem of type 1, much earlier than type 2.
